Software Update: VisualRoute 2005 9.3g

Visualware has just released VisualRoute 2005 version 9.3g. This program was originally a graphical counterpart to the ‘tracert’ command, which can be used to see the way in which the data packets are sent over the network. Over time, more features have been added, such as a whois reporter and an eMailTracker to identify email servers. This release is so fresh off the press that the changelog isn’t quite up-to-date yet. In any case, these are the changes since the last time this program came through in the junk tracker (minus one ):

VisualRoute 2005 9.3f enhancements:

  • NEW! VisualRoute MyConnection Edition
    Enable ‘self-help’ connectivity analysis for unlimited customers and remote users, with one-click connectivity testing from your server to their location via easy web browser access. Details
  • Fix for ‘helpdesk.exe’ agent for Linux/Solaris/Mac OS X releases.

VisualRoute 2005 9.3e enhancements:

  • Maintenance release, IP geographical database update.

VisualRoute 2005 9.3d enhancements:

  • performance improvement. IP database optimizations for faster tracing.
  • Mac 10.4 Tiger support
