raf took a good look at the download page from VirtualDub and saw that a new version was available there. This program offers the possibility to, for example, convert an SVCD movie to DivX. The following changes apply to this version:

MJPEG field operations do not work with output from PICVideo when it doesn’t write out interlaced fields.

Audio will not be loaded from type-1 DV files.

MPEG-2 (VOBs) are not supported.[break]As usual, there are three versions of VirtualDub to download:
