Software update: SpeedFan 4.28

After several beta releases, Alfredo Milani Comparetti today released the final release of version 4.28 of his hardware monitoring program SpeedFan. This small program displays information such as voltages, temperature, the speed of the fans and the SMART information of the hard drive(s). It is also possible, if the motherboard used supports this, to adjust the speed of your fans. In this release, the amount of hardware that is supported has been further expanded and some bugs have been fixed. The full changelog looks like this:

Changes in version 4.28:

  • added IN-DEPTH HARD DISK ONLINE ANALYSIS tool
  • added centralized INTERNET configuration tab in CONFIG dialog
  • added support for NForce410
  • added support for new video cards
  • added Temperature Sensor Type, BJT Offset and Gain support for Fintek F75375S in CONFIGURE / ADVANCED (on Asus V9999 you might need to set BJT OFFSET from 174 to 202)
  • SMART overall indicators are computed using a more advanced strategy
  • updated the help file
  • properly fixed byte swapped HDD model names
