Software update: SmartFTP 5.0 build 1351

Smartsoft has released an update to version 5.0 of its ftp client SmartFTP. SmartFTP is a very extensive ftp client. It includes support for secure connections via tls and ssl, server-to-server communication via fxp, error checking via xcrc, and various nat and upnp environments. The program is available in the flavors Home, Professional and Ultimate. Version 5.0 adds support for Windows 8.1, LastPass, and high-resolution screens, among other things. Since build 1345, the following adjustments have also been made:

• WebDAV: Windows 7: Explicitly enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 protocols. On Windows 8 or higher these protocols are enabled by default.
• WebDAV: Fix: SmartFTP incorrectly assumed that the folder already exists on the server
• Text Editor: Added ruler bar (menu: View – Ruler bar)
• Text Editor: Fix: Display issues when the horizontal scroll bar was enabled

Changes in version 5.0 build 1351

• Update UI library
• FTP: Automatic data connection fail-over (active/passive) is now disabled by default. It must be explicitly enabled in the favorite properties.
• Fix: Transfer Queue: Synchronize: One way with delete: When the transfer filter was enabled delete operations for non existing items were created.
