Spread the love

A new version of the software for the Windows platform has just been released on the Skype homepage. It concerns version 1.2.0.48 and is available via this link as an installation file. Skype allows you to call other users via Voice-over-IP, as it were. This does not require a subscription, just bandwidth to send the voice data back and forth. It is also possible to take out a subscription that allows calls to fixed and mobile telephone numbers and to numbers abroad. Below is the changelog of Skype 1.2.0.48 posted:

version 1.2.0.48

  • feature: SkypeOut Quality Feedback form is launched after a portion of SkypeOut calls
  • change: Skype client default width increased from 280px to 310px
  • change: Migrated key functionality on Call Tab toolbar to main client toolbar
  • bugfix: Skype API — prevent Access Control dialog from being bypassed by an already authorized, but modified API client
  • bugfix: Skype was unable to start when its configuration files were corrupted under some circumstances
