Software update: Paint.NET 2.1 beta 4

Spread the love

The fourth and final beta release of version 2.1 of Paint.NET has just been released. This program can be seen as a replacement for the MS Paint included with Windows and is being developed in C# by some people from Washington State University in collaboration with Microsoft. The software only works under Windows XP or 2000 and of course the .NET FrameWork will have to be installed. The program is finished according to the developers, now only the last bug needs to be removed and the documentation updated. The changelog therefore looks like this:

Changes in Paint.NET 2.1 beta 4:

  • Last beta release (code complete). Main difference between this and the ‘final’ release will be updated documentation (help file).
  • Completely rewritten ‘Import From File’
  • Many miscellaneous bug fixes
