The day before yesterday, SiSoftware released the second service pack for its benchmark program Sandra XI. Sandra is short for System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant and the program can display extensive information about all kinds of hardware and software in the PC and is also able to run a whole series of synthetic benchmarks on the computer. Sandra is available in different versions, each with their own target group. More information about it is on this page to find. The second service pack does not add any new functionality, but the range of recognized hardware has been expanded further:

This service pack also includes new hardware support for recently released (and soon to be released) hardware including:

• Processors: AMD, Intel and VIA, next generation support.
• Chipsets: Intel next generation, SiS, VIA.
• South Bridges: Ali/nVidia.
• Platform: Intel Centrino Duo/Pro, Intel vPro, SMBIOS/DMI 2.5, DDR3, HT 3.0.
• Hardware Monitor Support: Monitor line current and power.
• Hardware Monitor Chips: Abit, AMD, Fintek, Intel, ITE, National Semiconductor, SMSC, VIA, Winbond.
