Software Update: Simple Machines Forum 2.1 RC4

Simple Machines Forum is open source forum software. The developers are working on the next milestone, version 2.1, and have released the fourth release candidate. The package requires at least version 5.6 of php and database MySQL 5.6 or higher, although php 7.0 and mySQL 5.7 or PostgreSQL 9.6 are recommended. Support for SQLite has been dropped. Below is a summary of the major improvements made in this release:

Major changes:

  • Raises minimum PHP version to 5.6
  • Updates SCEditor to version 3 and fixes multiple editor bugs
