Software Update: Sandboxie 4.0.6

Version 4.06 of Sandboxie has been released. With this program it is possible to run programs under Windows in a protected environment. That way, changes made by programs like Internet Explorer are easy to undo. In addition, there is no risk that important parts of the operating system will be affected. Sandboxie can be used on Windows XP and higher and a lifetime license costs 34.50 euros. Version 4.06 brings the following changes and improvements:

Changes in version 4.06:

• Fixes to several issues which were discovered with version 4.04.
• Performance improvements over version 4.04.
• Improved support for running Internet Explorer 10 under Sandboxie.
• Improved support for Windows 8, in particular: Installing programs in the sandbox, running full screen programs in the sandbox, and printing from 32-bit programs under Sandboxie.
• Initial support for Windows 8.1.
• Support for Windows Server 2003, which was missing in version 4.04.
