Software Update: Samba 3.0.14a
Samba is intended for Linux servers and is able to provide file and/or printer services to Windows clients. A few days ago we wrote about the release of version 3.0.14. However, that release turned out to contain a serious flaw that could cause smbd to panic and the developers decided to withdraw it. The vulnerability has since been fixed and version 3.0.14a is now available, with the following changelog:
Changes since 3.0.14
- Fixed invalid SMB_ASSERT() triggered by checking access on ACL’d files.
