Software Update: RSS Builder 1.3

Spread the love

RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary (depending on who you ask) has been gaining in popularity lately. RSS Builder is a program with which RSS 2.0 feeds can be created. Topics, links and texts can be easily created in a well-arranged interface, which can then be sent to a website with the built-in FTP client. B!Soft recently released version 1.3 of this program and the changelog shows the following changes:

Changes in version 1.3:

  • Passive FTP mode added (active FTP does not always work with firewalls)
  • When creating a new FTP site, set default port number to 21
  • Publish date used local culture names for days and months. These must be in english to avoid problems with aggregators.

Changes in version 1.2:

  • The ‘comments’ tag is supported. This element contains a URL where a reader can put comments about a topic.
  • In the publish dialog, a list of FTP sites can be maintained.
