Spread the love

Piriform has released version 1.49 of Recuva. The name of the program is an alternative spelling for the English word ‘recover’ and that is exactly what the program does. It tries to recover deleted files from the hard drive, memory card of a digital camera or an MP3 player, for example. Recuva is free for both private and business use, and is suitable for Windows 2000 and higher. A wizard can instruct you to search for specific types of files and in specific locations. The changelog of this release shows the following changes and improvements:

Changelog:

  • Added multi-session UDF support
  • Added Unicode character handling to file list export
  • Improved FAT partition file scanning
  • Enhanced detection of drives with mounted junction points
