Software Update: RealVNC 5.0.6

There are several programs based on the vnc protocol that can be used to manage computers remotely. RealVNC gets its name from the fact that it is published by several people who have tinkered with this protocol from the very beginning at AT&T. RealVNC is available in one free and two commercial performances. Version 5.0.6 has been released with the following improvements:

Windows

• Support for Windows 8.1.
• The AutoLogonOverride VNC Server parameter enables connected users to hold down the Shift key while logging off in order to prevent the same user account being automatically logged back on.

Mac OS X

• Support for 10.9 (Mavericks)
