Software Update: Pi-hole Core 4.3.5

Spread the love

Pi-hole version 4.3.3, which was released yesterday, unfortunately had some bugs and has been updated twice in a short time. Pi-hole is an advertising-aware dns and web server intended to run on a Raspberry Pi in the network. If Pi-hole is referenced on the router for dns handling, all devices on the network will automatically use it without having to adjust any settings. Ads are then no longer fetched, causing pages to load faster. It can potentially also keep malware at bay. For more information, we refer you to the explanation and videos on this pageor this manual from tweaker jpgview. Since version 4.3.3, the following improvements have been made:

Pi-hole Core v4.3.5
Apologies for all the release excitement folks!

  • Fix an issue with the grep command when trying to detect the latest version of FTL

Pi-hole Core v4.3.4

  • Contains an additional commit that we did not cherry pick into 4.3.3. Resolves issues with FTL saying there was an update, even though there was not one.
  • Fixes debug process to properly show the running daemon on required ports, shows green/red comparison.
