Software Update: Patch My PC 2.6.0.1

Version 2.6.0.1 of Patch My PC has been released. This program can check if the latest versions of a large number of programs – including Mozilla Firefox, java, iTunes, Skype and Adobe Flash – are installed. In addition, it can see which Windows Updates are still missing from the system and which programs are starting with Windows, and can remove programs. This makes Patch My PC comparable to programs such as Personal Software Inspector from Secunia and Update Checker from FileHippo.

The program itself is less than half a megabyte in size and does not need to be installed to do its job. The user can indicate which updates should be installed or skipped and then everything is retrieved and installed with one mouse click.
