Software Update: PassMark WirelessMon 3.1 build 1003

PassMark Software released version 3.1 build 1003 of WirelessMon on Wednesday. With this program, the status of the wireless network card and of the access points within its range can be monitored. This makes it possible to see whether the network is configured correctly, to test whether all components are working properly, whether the access points are secured and what the network throughput speeds are. If directional antennas are used, the program can help locate an antenna and furthermore it can help detect interference or other problems. The following two changes have been made in this release:

Changes in version 3.1 build 1003:

• Fixed a crash that could occur in Windows7 and Vista when the OS reports a large number of network devices
• Changed error message about missing network counters and will now automatically open the WirelessMon FAQ
