Software Update: Nullsoft Scriptable Install System 2.45

Version 2.45 of Nullsoft Scriptable Install System was released on Saturday. With the help of this program a professional looking installation package can be easily built. After creating a script, the program creates a compact installer, to which, for example, uninstall options can also be given. The main improvement in this release is the support for Windows 7, but of course more has changed in the last three months:

• Added support for Windows 7 installers – use RequestExecutionLevel, just like with Vista (bug #2725883)
• Added WinVer.nsh Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 support
• Installers now identify as Terminal Services aware (IMAGE_DLLCHARACTERISTICS_TERMINAL_SERVER_AWARE) so $WINDIR will no longer be under the user’s profile when installing on Terminal Services
