Software update: nLite 0.98.7 beta

Spread the love

Version 0.98.7 beta of nLite has been released on Home of Nuhi. This program can be used to customize a Windows 2000, XP or 2003 installation CD. Unused components can be removed and Service Packs can be slipstreamed. This creates an installation CD that is up-to-date and with enough space to add your own programs and drivers. If everything has been adjusted to your own wishes, the whole can be written to a bootable ISO file. At the moment the program is still written in C#, so it is necessary that Microsofts .NET Framework has been installed, but a version in C++ is planned to be released soon. The changelog of this release shows the following changes:

what’s new:

  • fixed missing dw.exe
  • fixed missing mplayer2.exe and npdsplay.dll
  • fixed config.nt issue
  • fixed cmpnents dir deletion even if nothing selected
  • fixed non-English Timezones
  • cleaned layout.inf (7imo did it again)
  • new component: Battery driver
  • new options subpage – Tweaks (no more automatic tweaks)
  • custom presets support – put them in nLitePresets dir
