Software Update: Mozilla Weave 0.8

Mozilla has released version 0.8 of Weave. This plugin for Firefox and makes it possible to save the personal settings, such as bookmarks, personas and surfing history, in the ever trendy cloud, so that your laptop, desktop and mobile phone look the same everywhere. In version 0.8, important data is retrieved faster, the interface has been adjusted for both Firefox and Fennec and many bugs have been fixed. Below are the release notes for this version:

What’s new in 0.8?

If you have not looked at Weave recently, now is a great time to jump in and try it out! In this last pre-beta release we have made a number of changes based on feedback from users:

• Incremental download support is much more aggressive at fetching data, with explicit priority given to your most important data first
• New preference and setup UI for both Firefox and Fennec, moving back to a much tighter integration with the applications
• Cut download size in half from 0.7
• Better feedback for sync progress and errors
• Many added bug fixes (see full changelog)
