Software Update: Mozilla Firefox 25.0 Beta

Spread the love

As we are used to from Mozilla, the first beta release of the next version has already appeared shortly after the release of a stable version of the Firefox web browser. In version 25, which will be available on October 29 if all goes well, each tab will have its own search field and it will no longer be shared with all tabs. Furthermore, when Firefox detects that it has not been used for a long time, it will offer the option to import favorites and settings from other browsers. Below is the provisionally incomplete overview of the improvements that we can expect in version 25.

New

  • The find bar is no longer shared between tabs

Changed

  • If away from Firefox for months, you now will be offered the option to migrate another browser’s history and settings
  • Resetting Firefox no longer clears your browsing session

Developer

HTML5

Fixed

  • Blank or missing page thumbnails when opening a new tab
