Download MediaPortal 1.1.2

While the development of MediaPortal 1.2.0 is progressing steadily, an update for the stable 1.1 branch has appeared. With this program, a Windows machine can be used as the heart of the multimedia hardware in the living room. This makes it easy to listen to radio and music, as well as watch videos and DVDs. TV programs can also be recorded. By means of plug-ins and extensions, the functionality can be expanded and the look & feel of the program can be adjusted. Version 1.1 completely says goodbye to the old TV engine TVE2. Furthermore, a clean installation now uses MySQL 5.1 instead of SQL Server, although the latter can still be used as usual. This was done because MySQL requires less resources and also works fine under Windows 7. Version 1.1.2 is a bugfix release and should fix some minor but annoying issues.

MediaPortal 1.1.2 released!

While the development of MediaPortal 1.2.0 progresses better than expected, we continue to maintain MediaPortal 1.1.x with this new 1.1.2 hot fix release.

This release fixes a memory leak which was present in the 1.1.1 version, along with a few other issues.

Installation notes:

You can upgrade your existing 1.1.x installation to 1.1.2. There were no changes which require an update of an installed extension, either skin or plugin.
