The first beta release of Mediamonkey 3.0.3 was released on Tuesday. Mediamonkey is a media player with an extensive list of possibilities: it can play the most common audio files, can rip audio CDs to ogg, mp3, flac and wma, can edit tags or even automatically plucked from the internet, it doesn’t shy away from a collection of more than 50,000 files and can be synchronized with a portable music player. The program is available in a free standard version and a twenty dollar Gold version that includes some extra options including faster CD burning. The main innovation in version 3.03 is the support for synchronization with an iPhone and iPod Touch. This applies to both an original and a hacked version. Below are all the changes made since version 3.0.2:
