Software Update: Macrium Reflect 6.1.1023

Paramount Software has released a new version of Macrium Reflect, the fourth already this month. This program can create a disk image of a partition or hard disk. Macrium Reflect is free for private use, but there are also paid performances. They offer different extras, such as being able to do a file backup or an incremental backup, encryption, and restoring a backup to different hardware than it was created on. The standard version costs 45 euros, the pro version 60 euros and the server edition goes home for 193 euros. In version 6.1.1023, the following improvements have been made:

• The Exchange Verification dialog would show the incorrect month for backups. This has been resolved.
• Restoring private Exchange databases to a new name/location would incorrectly create public databases. This has been resolved.
• Retention rules could cause files not to be deleted on backup sets with file splits. This has been resolved.
• Auto generated VBScript files may not correctly detect RoboCopy when using the synchronization function. This has been resolved.
• Hiding the restore dialog could cause other apps to lose focus. This has been resolved.
