Software Update: Macrium Reflect 5.2.6474

Paramount Software has released a new version of Macrium Reflect. This program can create a disk image of a partition or hard disk. Macrium Reflect is free for private use, but there are also paid performances, That extras including file or incremental backup, encryption, and restoring a backup to hardware other than that on which it was created. The standard version costs 45 euros, the pro version 60 euros and the server edition goes home for 193 euros. Since build 6462, the following issues have been fixed:

Fixed in version 5.2.6474:

• Additional error reporting
  If a backup failed due to the target directory being inaccessible then the error message wasn’t sufficient to diagnose the cause. The message now includes the Windows error that corresponds to the failure.
• Incorrect driver architecture used when building Windows PE for the first time
  When manually adding drivers to the Windows PE rescue media build, the rescue wizard could load driver files for the wrong architecture (32 or 64 bit). This has been resolved

Fixed in version 5.2.6465:

• Windows PE 3.1 build problems
  The Windows PE 3.1 rescue media build process could error with “An error occurred mounting the Windows Image File”. This has been resolved

Fixed in version 5.2.6463:

• Linux rescue CD build problem
  Release v5.2.6462 caused a problem with the rescue media creation wizard when building Linux based media. This has been resolved
