Software Update: Macrium Reflect 5.2.6433

Paramount Software recently released an update to version 5.2 of Macrium Reflect. This program can create a disk image of a partition or hard disk. Macrium Reflect is free for private use, but there are also paid performances, That extras including being able to perform a file backup or an incremental backup, encryption, and restore a backup to hardware other than that on which it was created. The standard version costs 45 euros, the pro version 60 euros and the server edition goes home for 193 euros. The changelog for this release is as follows:

What’s new in version 5.2.6433:

• XML definition rename now updates desktop shortcut links
  When renaming XML backup definition files in Reflect any associated desktop shortcut files are now also automatically updated to reflect the new file name

Bug fixes:

• VBScript execute tool bar button
  The tool bar button to execute a selected VBScript source file failed to launch the script. This has been resolved
• Improved update of the ‘mounteddevices’ registry key when cloning
  A clone operation could fail to update the ‘mounteddevices’ registry key if the local registry hive was corrupt or incomplete. This has been resolved.
