The idea of ​​a Concurrent Versions System is to centrally store the source code and track changes using version numbers. This makes it possible to keep the different versions and to get an overview of which changes have been made by whom and when. LinCVS XXL is a graphical interface for the command line tool cvs with which it is possible to perform check-outs, imports and commits. In addition, you can browse through the different versions and look up the differences between the local file and the cvs file. Version 1.8.0 is now available with the following list of changes:

Changes from 1.7.3 to 1.8.0:

  • fixed: now external commands like “open file” work also for files containing double quotation marks.
  • fixed: abnormal termination if cvs status and no revision yet
