Firmware Update: Abit AL8 series 16

Abit has released a new BIOS with version number 16 for its AL8 series motherboards. The AL8, AL8-V and AL8-3rd Eye II get support for Intel processors with the Presler core with this update. The motherboard is based around an Intel 945P chipset that frees up space for an Intel processor with an LGA775 socket. The list of adjustments looks like this:

Version 16:

• Support Presler CPU.
• ABIT EQ now works as intended after resuming from S3 mode.

Version 15:

• Memory frequency will be shown correctly when N/B Strap CPU as is set to “By CPU”
• Fixed the issue that the system may not be able to boot up from SiliconImage RAID controller when Intel RAID BIOS is enabled.
• The function “S/PDIF in” will be work correctly now.
• Update CPU microcode.
