Software Update: Kodi 15.2 RC 1

Spread the love

A second update for Kodi version 15.0 has been released, which is currently offered as a beta. Kodi is a cross platform media center software developed for Windows, OS X, Linux, Android and iOS.

New in version 15.0, which has been codenamed Isengard, includes adaptive seeking, which means that audio and video files can be jumped with larger or smaller steps. Furthermore, there is a visual way to jump to chapters, there is support for hevc h265 under Android on certain chipsets and a switch to C++11 for the code. However, all this beauty means that the minimum specifications have been increased. For example, at least OS X 10.7, iOS 5.1 or Android 4.2 is now required. Version 15.2 is a so-called maintenance release and should fix some errors.
