Software Update: K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.02

The nice thing about the audio and video compression standard on the computer is that there are so many different ones. So if you want to watch movies and listen to music, a mountain of codecs must be installed. K-Lite makes that easy by offering a number of packages containing, depending on the variant, the less or more important codecs. The smallest, K-Lite Basic, has the DivX and XviD codec on board for video only and the Fraunhofer MP3 and AC3 DirectShow decoder for audio. It also contains DirectVobSub for displaying subtitles and GSpot, a program or to determine with which codec an audio or video file was created.

The K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, on the other hand, contains every codec you can imagine and is able to play any file created with the most exotic codec. More information about the different K-Lite Codec Packs can be found here. The changelog for K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.02 looks like this:
