Software Update: Intel Processor Frequency ID Utility 6.0

Intel has released a new version of its Processor Frequency ID Utility. This program is useful for those who suspect that their CPU is secretly running faster than intended. The new release is numbered 6.0, a changelog is unfortunately not present.

The Intel® Processor Frequency ID Utility allows customers to identify, and in some circumstances determine, if their Intel processor is operating at the correct and rated frequency intended by Intel Corporation.[break]The software is available in two flavors. The first is a Microsoft Installer for Windows systems. The second is an exe file that provides a bootable version of the program.
