Software Update: HitmanPro.Alert 2.5.0 Build 50 Beta

Spread the love

Surfright, the makers of HitmanPro, have released a new beta version of HitmanPro.Alert. More and more often we see messages about security on the internet and its failure. Hackers try to get behind financial data with malware in order to loot accounts. An antivirus program and firewall are often not enough to stop an attack. HitmanPro.Alert can check the integrity of the web browser. It is not a browser plug-in, but runs as a system service and notifies you from the top right corner through a so-called Flyout window whether or not the browser’s integrity has been compromised by malware. Support is available for Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera and their derived web browsers. Version 2.5 should, among other things, protect against CryptoLocker ransomware, which encrypts all files on the computer.

Added:

  • CryptoGuard: a universal solution against crypto ransomware. More information.
  • Support for Internet Explorer Enhanced Protected Mode.
  • Support for Opera 17
