Software Update: Hitman Pro 2.1.4

Spread the love

Hitman Pro has been updated to version 2.1.4. This program aims to be an all-in-one solution to remove viruses, spy, ad and malware from a Windows 2000 or XP machine. On the one hand, it uses established programs like Ad-Aware, Spy Sweeper, Spybot, SpywareBlaster, CWShredder, Trend Micro Sysclean, and McAfee, but there’s also a Mark Loman-developed Hitman Pro AntiSpyware. The previously mentioned programs are downloaded, installed and run automatically from the websites of the creators. Afterwards, a comprehensive report is generated with all found and removed junk. The changelog for this release looks like this:

New in Hitman Pro 2.1.4

  • Hitman Pro AntiSpyware updated to 1.6.2. If you enable both Heuristic Analysis and Inspect All Local Disks, Hitman Pro AntiSpyware will perform a comprehensive scan on all applications and application extensions in the system folders, looking for suspicious files. In addition, in case of uncertainty (during a Heuristic analysis), a library on the Internet will be consulted. This fixes the problem that vobregcheck.exe and dit.exe, among others, were incorrectly marked as suspicious. Incidentally, if possible, the library on the Internet is used to provide additional information about the suspicious file in the report.
  • Ad-Aware 1.05 Personal will be updated to Ad-Aware 1.06 Personal
  • Customized message list to display special Hitman Pro AntiSpyware message options
