Software Update: Fugu 1.2.0

Spread the love

The Research Systems Unix Group development team has released version 1.2.0 of Fugu. The program is a handy graphical shell for OpenSSH on the Mac OS X platform. This allows data to be transferred in an encrypted connection so that intermediate points no longer have insight into which data is being sent. Fugu also supports file transfers over SCP and the ability to create secure tunnels over SSH. The supplied changelog looks like this since the previous entry in the junk tracker:

Version 1.2.0:

  • new: promised file drags (drag and drop from remote pane to Finder)
  • update: additional FAQ entries
  • fix: valid paths for alternative OpenSSH installations

Version 1.1.3:

  • new: support for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger
  • new: support for alternative ssh binary locations (Eric Knauel and Thomas Rasch
  • fix: build number stored in Info.plist, not hardcoded.
  • fix: corrected handling of * in filenames when parsing server output
