Software Update: FreeFileSync 11.28

Version 11.28 of FreeFileSync has been released. This open source program can back up or synchronize content from two different locations. It’s available for Windows, Linux, and macOS, doesn’t rely on things like Java or a .NET Framework, and is lightweight to use. The Windows download includes separate 32bit and 64bit versions, and also offers the option to use it without installing it first. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Changes in FreeFileSync version 11.28:

  • Recover from corrupted database file
  • Save database files pairwise as a transaction
  • Fixed FTP access for Xiaomi “File Manager”
  • Fixed filter full path detection for root directory (Linux/macOS)
  • Fixed recycle bin double initialization bug (Windows)
  • Fixed incorrect case-insensitive string comparison for i and ı
  • Round progress percentage numbers down
