Software Update: FreeFileSync 11.12

Version 11.12 of FreeFileSync has been released. This open source program can be used to back up or synchronize content from two different locations. It’s available for Windows, Linux, and macOS, doesn’t rely on things like Java or a .Net Framework, and it’s lightweight to use. The Windows installer includes separate 32bit and 64bit versions, and also offers the option of using a portable version. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Changes in FreeFileSync version 11.12:

  • Native ARM64 build to support Apple silicon M1 (macOS)
  • Non-intrusive mouse highlight on file grid
  • Fixed /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libgcc_s.so.1: version `GCC_7.0.0′ not found
  • Parse file times with no limits on time span (eg year 0, year 3000)
  • Show folder icon during drag and drop (Windows)
  • Show user name for (S)FTP display paths
  • Fixed FTP connection lost error with TLS 1.3
  • Present file sizes in powers of 1000 bytes (Linux, macOS)
