Software Update: Fraps 3.1.0

Spread the love

Beepa released version 3.1.0 of Fraps on Monday. This program can be used to show the number of frames per second for games that use Directx or Opengl. In addition, it is also possible to take screenshots and record short in-game movies. This can be useful if the game itself does not support this or has only poorly implemented this feature. In addition to a new look, version 3.0.0 has added full support for Windows 7, including DirectX 11. Furthermore, the sound from the microphone and the speakers can now be recorded simultaneously. In version 3.1.0, the following changes have been made:

Changes in version 3.1.0:

  • Added option to capture videos with framerate locked or unlocked
  • Fixed startup crash for some Intel i5/i7 configurations under Windows 7
  • Minimum recording speed is now 1 fps to allow for time lapse recording
  • Fixed vista desktop recording not capturing mouse cursor
  • Fixed sound length for Vista/Win7 recordings
  • Added large address support to 32-bit codec
  • Fixed window starting off screen on some multi-monitor systems
