Software Update: Fraps 2.2.0

With Fraps it is possible to create videos from any DirectX or OpenGL game. It can also save screenshots at the touch of a button and display a framerate counter in every corner of the screen. With the latter option it is also possible to run benchmarks, by having Fraps write the number of FPS between two moments to a file. Today version 2.2.0 was released and has the following changes:

• Added 256 color video and screen capture
• Many old games (DX7 and earlier) better supported
• Faster video capture in the latest DX9 titles
• Fixed OpenGL screen capture (broken in 2.1.1)
• Fixed Final Fantasy XI erratic keyboard/hotkey behavior
• Added “Run Fraps when Windows starts” option
• Added folder View buttons for movies and screenshots
