Software Update: Fortnite 5.41

Fortnite is a co-op survival sandbox game from development studio Epic Games. The graphic style is cartoony and is reminiscent of the style of games like Team Fortress. That automatically places the emphasis on fun. There are two modes in the game: the story-driven ‘Save the World’ mode, which is currently subject to payment, and the free ‘Battle Royale’ mode, which pits you against other players. The game can be played on Windows, macOS, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and smartphones. For more information, please refer to our brief review. V5.41 PATCH NOTES – BUILD UP

Build faster and bigger with a new consumable in both Battle Royale and the Playground game mode. A new Horde Challenge week arrives to Save the World!

Spiky Stadium (Battle Royale – Playground)

Port-a-Fortress (Battle Royale)
This new consumable creates a massive fortress to defend against and repel enemies!

Horde Challenge Week 7 (Save the World)
Many Husks have gathered for this weeks Horde Challenge and this crowd can’t be controlled!

Bowler – Flintlock Launcher (Save the World)
Strike down enemies with the newest weapon in the Flintlock set, spare none!

GENERAL – PERFORMANCE

• CPU optimization for Xbox One (optimized memory copy operations). This is expected to improve performance.
• Optimized file layout on Xbox One to improve streaming performance. This should reduce instances of buildings rendering in late.
