Software Update: Emby 4.6.3

A third update for version 4.6 of Emby Server has been released. This media server for Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, macOS and various NAS devices can index and serve content to clients on the same machine, within the local network or over the Internet. Until version 3.6 it was open source, but is that no longer. Clients are available for the aforementioned operating systems, among others, but content can also be viewed on iOS, Android, various media players and Google TV, for example. Emby Server 4.6.3 Released

A small update to our 4.6 release is currently rolling out to address a few minor issues that came up. Here are the highlights:

  • Fix web app playback regressions of videos that successfully played in previous server version
  • Fix sporadic cases of audio playback stopping in the web app
  • Fix sporadic cases of subtitle burn in not working
  • Update sort by date last episode added to not be affected by virtual items in the database
  • Fix Synology dashboard showing Emby Server as stopped when it is still running
  • Fix album items being added to playlist alphabetically
  • Fix transcoding audio channels for converted files using the convert media feature
