Software Update: Easy CD-DA Extractor 12.0.6

Poikosoft has released version 12.0.6 of Easy CD-DA Extractor. Easy CD-DA Extractor is an all-in-one program for ripping, editing and converting audio files. In addition, the program is able to burn CDs and DVDs. Support is available for all known formats, including 3g2, 3gp, mp1, mp2, mp3, wma, ogg, mp4, m4a, aac, aacplus, flac, mpc, wv, wav, aiff, ape, cue and m3u. New in version 12 includes AccurateCDDA, which should provide improved performance and better ripping results. Furthermore, support for gapless mp3 and the Musicbrainz metaserver has been added and support for the 64-bit versions of Windows has been improved. Since the previous entry in the Meuktracker, the following changes have been made:

Bug fixes:

• Vorbis Encoder halted or encoded wrong bitrate
• “List index out of bounds (-1)” error when dragging column headers in v12.0.4
• m4a and mp4 files were left open (“locked”) after encoding
• m4a and mp4 file length in iTunes was wrong when other sample rate than 44100Hz was used
• Apple Lossless encoding failed with an error message on certain tracks and files
• Pasting cover art from clipboard in audio converter did not work properly
• Multithread synchronization bug in downloading the disc info from Freedb or MusicBrainz (may have caused an error or crash in rare cases)
• Multithread synchronization bug in adding files to an audio CD (may have caused an error or crash in rare cases)
• Windows 7 compatibility update to the program and installer

Codec Updates:

• New AAC and aacPlus encoder version from Dolby. New encoder comes with improved sound quality and performance.
