Software Update: Daemon Tools 4.0.1 x64

Daemon Tools was developed with the idea that their legal software CD is stored as an image on the hard drive and used instead of the original CD to prevent damage. However, there are many copy protections that may be present on the CD that do not work from a hard disk, so that you cannot use the image. The most commonly used security techniques can therefore be emulated, such as SafeDisc (C-Dilla), Securom, Laserlock, CDCOPS, StarForce and Protect CD. The program creates a virtual DVD-ROM drive so you can access the image as a CD or DVD. The developers have released a new version of 4.0 suitable for x64 system. The announcement looks like this:

as promised, we released today the new X64-version of DaemonTools V4. It contains only small bug fixes, apart from that, the release notes from V4 32bit are valid here, too. We wish our users a nice weekend and much fun with this new release!
