Software update: CPU-Z 1.56

CPUID has released version 1.56 of CPU-Z. This small program provides extensive information about the processor, motherboard and memory in the computer. Since version 1.52, there are separate downloads for 32bit and 64bit environments and the program can also provide information about the graphics card in the computer, albeit somewhat limited. In this release, recognition of the Intel P67 chipset and various new processors from the stable of Intel and Amd have been added.

Changes in CPU-Z version 1.56:

  • Intel Core i3/i5/i7 “2000” series processors (Sandy Bridge) with new logos.
  • Intel Core i7 970 “Gulftown”.
  • Intel P67 chipset.
  • AMD Phenom II, Athlon II and Sempron II “Caspian” processors.
