Software Update: Comodo Internet Security 8.4.0.5068

Comodo has released an update for version 8.4 of its security programs. The lineup includes a firewall, an antivirus and a combination of the two. Comodo is available for Windows XP and above, and the download is suitable for both 32bit and 64bit editions of these operating systems. If you don’t choose ‘customize’ during installation, you also get Comodo’s own web browser Dragon and GeekBuddy, a paid service that offers remote computer help. New in this release include updating the website filtering definitions and addressing issues with Google Chrome and Internet Explorer in conjunction with the sandbox.

• Website Filtering browser signatures have become updateable:

• Yahoo! installation offer is not shown during CIS/CAV paid packages’ updates anymore.
• ‘Browser Protection’ feature is enabled by default upon clean install

Fixed:

• Google Chrome and Internet Explorer crash upon closing when run in Sandbox
