Software Update: CocoViewX 0.9.2

CocoViewX is a freeware program for the Mac OS X platform that allows you to view and edit images. Support for common file formats is available such as bmp, tiff, targa, gif, png, jpg, pict, pdf, eps, icns, jp2 and sgi. For those who are curious what this could look like here take a look. The developer recently released version 0.9.2 with the following changelog:

Today’s changes are:

  • thumbnail cache
  • (html)export/preset supports now drawing border and drop shadow (png/tiff only)
  • copy thumbnail to pastboard
  • EXIF support by renaming series of pictures
  • hide/show full-screen control panel by pressing the tabulator key
  • read/write comment to/from files (Finder compatible)
  • option to disable/enable columns
  • added toolbar icons for Full-screen and Slide-Show
  • save Screenshot from multiple screens into a multipage TIFF
  • hold zooming by switching between pictures
  • added Japanese localization
  • Bug fixes:
    • fixed crash typing width or height by multiple export
    • fixed crash by creating thumbnails of corrupt image files
    • fixed crash starting slide-show when no file is selected
    • fixed html-exporting relative instead of absolute path
    • fixed problem the application lost file-focus by creating a new folder in the export-view
    • fixed drawing a transparent background instead a black background
  • and many more minor changes
