Software Update: Clementine 1.2.2

Spread the love

Version 1.2.2 has been released from Clementine. This media player is based on source code of version 1.4 of Amarok. Since version 2.0 of Amarok a lot has changed about this player and not everyone is happy with that, which is why this fork was created. Clementine is not only developed for Linux, but also for Windows and OS X. The player is characterized by its ease of use, speed and many opportunities. New in version 1.2 is, among other things, the possibility to index music from various cloud storage services, there is support for subsonic and can run the program from an Android device controlled. In version 1.2.2 some issues have been fixed and support for kittens has been added.

Major features:

  • (Android Remote) Add kitten support.

Bug fixes:

  • Rename SkyDrive to OneDrive.
  • Don’t include the user’s IP address in the log (from the network remote settings dialog).
  • (Debian) Fix a bug with HTTPS logins to all cloud storage providers.
  • (Mac OS X) Fix a bug in the workaround for a weird font issue on 10.9.
  • (Mac OS X) Fix rendering of source icons on retina displays.
  • (Android Remote) Don’t advertise songs that aren’t available.
  • (Android Remote) Fix playing songs with special characters in filenames.
