Software update: BS.Player 2.42 build 1007

Spread the love

The developers behind BS.Player have released a new version of their media player. BS.Player is a multimedia player that can play various audio and video formats. The program is available in two different versions, namely Free and Pro. The Pro version costs thirty euros and has more possibilities than the free variant, which includes the ability to stream videos from YouTube in a higher quality, record video, and a comprehensive equalizer.

BS.Player was one of the most popular media players for a long time, but that soon came to an end after the freeware version was loaded with adware. As of version 2.30, the SaveNow adware module has been replaced by a optional toolbar, which has a search function but can also control the player. New in this release is the ability to install codecs on machines running Windows 7. The full changelog of this release looks like this:

Added:

  • Option for load of external audio file
  • Option to choose playback seek behavior
  • Full support for local install of codecs on Windows 7 OS

improved:

  • Mouse cursor was hidden when subtitle download dialog was shown in full screen mode
  • Right clicking on video window on secondary display would show menu on primary display
  • If action is assigned to right mouse button, menu would not be displayed anymore
