Software update: Bribble 1.5.35.1
Bribble has released a new version of its open source chat platform. The server software runs on a Linux or Windows web server with a PHP/MYSQL backend, and the client can be any web browser that supports Java and has the Flash plugin installed. Version 1.5.35 was released a few days ago and was followed that same day by 1.5.35.1. The combined changelog shows the following changes:
Changes:
- show chatbox in admin shows the right chatbox instead of standard
- sql-file for windows commented with ## instead of —
- new chatboxes can be created
- block guest access works after kill and restart of a chatbox
web admin:
- security bug fixed
- added rooms
- profile information can be saved now
- added “block guest access”
- added newest client
- version-variable added to group.php
- port number can be entered in group.php (to select different port)
client:
- added extra information to auto-login
- deleted animation (size reduction)
- deleted webcam feature
- some code cleaning (just started)
- operators can change rooms now

- character filter for username in configuration-file
