Software Update: BootSkin 1.05

Stardock’s BootSkin makes it very easy to change the Windows 2000 or XP startup screen. There are several other programs that can do this as well, but BootSkin stands out from the rest because of the safe way in which this is done: the Windows kernel is not changed or replaced. The two major advantages of this are that the boot screens are very small, normally less than twenty kilobytes, and secondly, it avoids an unstable system or corrupt files after applying a new Service Pack. A changelog was not available, but this version reportedly fixes hibernate issues that affected previous versions.
