Software Update: Avast Antivirus 2017 17.2.2288

Avast Software has released an update for version 2017 of its security program Avast. This program is available in the free Free Antivirus, and the paid Pro Antivirus and Internet Security versions. In addition, there is Premier, which has additional management functions, such as the possibility to remotely take over a PC and possibly erase the hard disk. In version 2017, the program has been given a new look, it should better recognize so-called ransomware and an email registration is no longer required to be able to use the free version. The following improvements have also been made in this update:

New Avast Antivirus version is here (17.2.2288). This version doesn’t introduce any new features, rather fixes some of the most critical issues that appeared on the previous version

  • Problems on Windows Vista after update
  • Issues with SecureLine license after update
  • Conflict with Comodo firewall
  • Installation of web extensions on 64-bit version of Firefox
  • Problems with opening Avast UI after installation
  • Security issue in SafeZone browser banking mode
