Software update: Audio Comparer 1.5 build 906

Bolide Software, known for All My Movies, All My Books and Image Comparer, released a new version of Audio Comparer on Saturday. With this program music files can be compared in order to detect duplicates. It doesn’t do this by looking at the name, the file size or the tags: the files are really ‘listened’ according to Bolide Software. Because of this, it shouldn’t matter what format or bitrate the file is in.

Audio Comparer can handle mp3, wma, wav, flac, aac and ogg files and a license costs, after a recent price increase, about 26 euros. In this release, support for iTunes has been added, among other things, and the result of a compare command can now be exported to a CSV file. The full changelog of this release looks like this:
